Look At What I Can Do Now!

May 23, 2007 was a big day for Calleigh at therapy! We started off her PT session by putting on her new leg braces and doing some walking. Now let me tell you...she was a little mad at Ms. Dana and was not to fond of the braces or the whole walking idea, but she did great! Then Ms. Dana put her in an assisted device that is called a stander. Calleigh was strapped in, and looked like a little sumo wrestler! The straps kept her legs straight and her body in an upright position. She loved it, for the most part. It allowed her to see a different view of the world and since she actually fit into it...Ms. Dana went ahead and ordered her one! It probably will not be here until August or September, but we are still very excited! After PT we have ST with Ms. Stephanie. Calleigh stayed in the stander during ST, so Ms. Stephanie brought in some Gerber Graduate snacks and a Biter Biscuit (baby cookie) for Calleigh to experiment with. Now Calleigh is what we consider an "orally challenged" baby! She is not like other kiddos who put EVERYTHING into their mouths, she just doesn't do it...well that is she didn't do it until that day at therapy! She was pulling the cookie up to her mouth all by herself!!! Since then...a lot more stuff goes into her mouth these days...but we are so very excited!! Check out the pics and the video!

Calleigh will have a table like this one too!
