A long while back I let you all know that Calleigh was having what are called Sub-Clinical Seizures aka itches on her brain! In June she had a 24 hour EEG to monitor the seizures. We had a follow up with her neurologist, Dr. Crisp on August 14 and after reading the EEG in June, he was still seeing quite a bit of seizure activity so he recommended that we put Calleigh on Anti-Seizure medication. So we have started her on Keppra. One of the main side effects is irritability and we noticed a lot more irritability during the first week of use, but now it has eased up a lot. We are hoping that having her on the medication will assist her in advancing developmentally. We will see!
