Hearing...CHECK!

On July 23, Calleigh had a sedated ABR, which is a hearing test, and a series of other hearing tests. her audiologist, Dr. P, wanted to check out how well she was hearing and see if had gotten better or worse since the last test in September of 2006. Good news is that nothing has changed and it is still a very mild hearing loss. Cal is just on the bottom of normal...which is great! We were going to go ahead and get her hearing aides just to see if that assisted her in any way, but with the expertise of the audiologist, we decided to wait. Hearing aides would be more hassle then they are worth at this stage. We did however decide that we would check her again right before she started school and probably get her some then. Dr. P thinks that hearing aides will be more beneficial when she is school age. We go back in six months for a regular check up! Our girl is doing great!
